19. What Constitutes Offensive Contact
a. Bodily
contact is “offensive” if it offends a reasonable sense of personal dignity.
i.
Ex: While walking in a crowded street, A
intentionally, but not discourteously pushes against B to pass him. NOT
offensive contact.
ii.
Ex: Suffering from a contagious skin
disease, A touches B’s hand, putting B at risk. This IS offensive touching.
